We are gathered here today to bid farewell to the one and only Paul Smith, who passed away on January 15, 2026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on October 13, 1964 to his loving parents, Michael and Nancy Smith, Paul leaves behind a legacy that will not soon be forgotten.

Paul was a proud graduate of Germantown High School and went on to serve in the US Army, where he achieved the rank of E5 Sergeant in the Support Company 111 unit. He dedicated 15 years of his life to serving his country, a feat that not many can lay claim to.

When he wasn't busy defending our nation, Paul could be found lending a hand at the Richardson Church of the Lord organization. He had a passion for helping others and his community, a trait that endeared him to all who knew him.

Paul leaves behind his beloved daughter April Alexander and her spouse Mike Alexander, as well as four grandchildren who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their beloved grandfather. While we may mourn his passing, we take comfort in the fact that Paul's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

So here's to you, Paul Smith. May you rest in peace, knowing that you touched the lives of so many and brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing you.
