Patti Marie Cornette was born in 1964 in Zachary, Louisiana to her father Terrrel Ivy Metcalfe and mother Louise Seal Metcalfe. Patti taught English for 26 years at Central Methodist Elementary. She was widowed to Phillip Orson Cornette. She had two daughters, Grace Ellen Hebert and Cheyenne Seal Cornette. She had one grandson, Jackson Roy Hebert.

Patti served as a loyal member of the Zachary United Methodist church from her childhood into adulthood. Pastor Ricky Willis will be giving her service on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Charlet Funeral Home.

Her eldest daughter, Grace Ellen Hebert, will give the eulogy. Her second cousin Madison Russell will be singing her favorite hymn, "I'll Fly Away." Her youngest daughter Cheyenne Seal Cornette will be reciting an original poem to her mother at the burial.

Lord, we pray you carry Patti's soul to be with you. We pray you keep her memory with us on earth, in our hearts. We pray that you provide comfort and solace during this time of grief. But most of all, we thank you for Patti, for through her life you gave us a perfect daughter, a mother, a teacher, and a loyal servant to your call. Thank you for your loving grace and mercy, O Lord. Be with our souls. Amen.
