Patsy Crawford, a long-time resident of the Americus area, died Sunday  the 15th of Feburary in the comfort of her home in hospice.

She is survived by her husband, John Crawford, her daughter, Tasha Crawford, her sister Clara Crawford, and many other couisns, grandchildren and friends.

Born in 1954 in Monroe, Ga, Patsy moved on from Monroe Area Comprehensive High School to start her own child care.

She tauht many different children. In a career shift, she moved to Americus Georgia where she met the love pf her life, John Crawford. She worked there until her retirement. Soon after retirement, she was diagnosed with brain cancer. She fought for 2 long hard years, on Feburary 15th at 6:30 am she was called home.

she loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
