PATRICK MEGLEMRE On March 3, 2017, Patrick Meglemre passed away from a sudden heart attack. His family gathered around him to say their good-byes and share memories of their devoted husband and father. Patrick was born on July 10, 1947, in Long Beach, California. After serving in the navy during the Vietnam War, he moved to Humboldt to attend Humboldt State University. He graduated with a degree in Psychology and held a number of jobs, including making wooden toys at Raintree Toy Company before earning a real estate license. He is best known to the people of Eureka as a real estate broker and owner of Meglemre Realty. Patrick was a skilled craftsman and was often hired by friends and clients to help with home renovations. He was a meticulous builder who could make anything out of wood, but was most valued as a jack-of-all-trades. On July 25, 1975, Patrick married Kathleen and remained deeply in love with her until his death. He is survived by four children: Jennifer Meglemre, Laura Meglemre (Gabe Douge), Tristan White (Jason), and Anthony Meglemre. His pride and joy were his grandsons Connor and Gavin White.
