Obituary: Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes, a beloved husband, father, and NFL Quarterback, passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 27 in a car accident in Kansas City, Missouri.
Patrick was born on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas to parents Patrick Mahomes and Randi Martin. He was raised in a family of athletes with his father being a former MLB pitcher and his mother a former college basketball player.
After graduating from Hobbs High School in 2014, where Patrick was a two-sport star in football and baseball, he went on to attend Texas Tech University where he continued to excel as a football player. Patrick's talent on the field earned him the opportunity to play in the NFL, where he made a name for himself as one of the league's most talented quarterbacks.
Patrick was married to his high school sweetheart, Britney Mahomes, in the year 1, and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes.
Patrick was more than just a talented football player, he was a community leader and used his platform to make a positive impact on the world. He was involved in numerous philanthropic efforts, such as the 15 and The Mahomies Foundation, which aimed to improve the lives of children and families in need.
Patrick will be remembered for his infectious smile, his kind heart, and his unwavering commitment to his family and community.
He is survived by his wife Britney Mahomes and daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes, his parents, Patrick Mahomes and Randi Martin, as well as his extended family, friends, and countless fans.
