Patricio Rivera, age 61, of Brooksville, FL passed away at his residence on Monday, August 14, 2017. Patricio was born on May 26, 1956 in Weslaco, TX to the late Elocadio and Teresa (Moreno) Rivera. He made Florida his home over 25 years ago after relocating from Harvest, AL and was a Catholic by faith. Patricio worked throughout his lifetime as a painter for the construction industry, a profession in which he excelled. His family states his work was always perfection. They knew of no other person that worked harder than Patricio. He would often come home from a full 12 to 14 hours of work only to do more work at home because that is what he truly enjoyed.Those left to mourn his passing include his significant other of 21 years, Katherine Ryan of Floral City, FL; sons: David Rivera of Gainesville, FL, Nathan Rivera and wife Heather of Tennessee; daughter, Teresa Moore and her husband Jaimie of Harvest, AL; stepson, Chris Ryan and his wife Angie of Inverness, FL; stepdaughters: Karen Ryan of Floral City, FL, Katherine Gaytan of North Carolina, Lynn McCallister of Floral City, FL; brothers: Milo Lerma of Lewisburg, TN, John Lerma of Tony, AL, Guadalupe Moreno of Huntsville, AL, Manuel Lopez of Tony, AL; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricio was preceded in death by stepson, Charles Farley; stepdaughter, Michelle Ryan; 1 brother and 2 sisters.A Funeral Service of Remembrance is planned for Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Father Claudius Mganga of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
