Overland Park – Patricia "Pat" Shaver, 86, died Monday Nov. 21, 2016. She was born on March 23, 1930 to William and Ruth Williams. Pat moved to Salina in 1956 and married John Shaver in 1957, where she lived until 2011. Pat enjoyed singing and theatre and was active in the Salina Community Theatre and her church choir. Her greatest joy, however, was acts of loving service to others. Her boundless energy and heart for others meant cookies, pies and extreme acts of parental and spousal love. We were blessed by her love that made us feel incredibly special, built us up and armed us to venture out into the real world. Survivors: sons, John, Lee's Summit, MO, Tom, Leawood, KS, Tim, Wichita, KS; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; husband, John; brother Jack, Don and Bill; and sister Joanne. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Salina on Friday, November 25, 2016.
