Patricia S. LightcapNaples, FLPatricia Lightcap, formerly of Hadden Heights, NJ, died Thursday December 29th in her home with her loving daughter Kitty by her side. Pat was born on June 8th, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA to father Olaf Scott and mother Nellie Walkup. She grew up in Hadden Heights, NJ with her Father, brothers, step sister, and adopted mother Julia Scott. She had 3 children with her first husband Larry Hughes Jr, and 5 step children with her second husband Edward Lightcap. Pat is predeceased by her first husband Larry Hughes Jr, their oldest son Larry Hughes III, and her second husband Edward Lightcap.Pat worked as a secretary, a homemaker, an inn keeper, and a spiritual leader.After her late husband's death, Pat's companion was her beloved dog Maggie with whom she spent 11 years and most recently her dog Rio with whom she spent her last year. Pat is survived by sons Buzz Hughes and his wife Linnea, Ed Lightcap and his wife Debbie, Matt Lightcap and his wife Lori, daughters Kitty Ukishima and her husband Nathan, Jerri Lightcap, Patti Lightcap, Linda Albright and her husband Roger, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pat was the embodiment of love. She was open minded and accepting, spiritual, compassionate, stubborn, progressive, a lover of dogs, books, and a serious card player and not to be messed with at the craps table. She was and is an inspiration to her entire family and had a loving and individual relationship with each of us. She will be so very missed, but we can always find consolation in the fact that sunsets and sandy beaches will remind us of her. In Pat's own words, "whenever you think of me, I'll be right there with you. As a matter of fact when you are reading or hearing my story -Hey! I'm right here! Love you!"Her memorial service will be held at Unity of Naples at 2000 Unity Way on Saturday January 7th at 1pm. Reception to follow.
