Patricia DarkOf Des Moines, IowaPatricia (Pat) Ann Dark, 78, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, May 11th 2017. Pat was born on October 13th, 1938 in Pearidge, IL, daughter of Elmer and Dorothy (Baugh) Whitaker. She received her education at Perry High School in Illinois and was the oldest of three siblings, Larry (Kay) Whitaker and Mary Dixon. She was blessed with six children, two girls and four boys. She was united in marriage with the love of her life, Paul Dark Sr. on April 15th 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Bob. Pat is survived by her husband of 43 years, Paul Dark, Sr.; children, Deborah Cowman, Kevin Little, Lori (Guy) Hall, Ron Little, Brett (Pam) Little, and Paul Jr. (Joe Pahlka) Dark; numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 17th, also at the funeral home followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
