Patricia Atkinson, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, 27 August 2025, after suffering a stroke. Born in Bishop Auckland, United Kingdom, on 20 January 1933, she was the younger daughter of the late Bertie and Evelyn Caile.

At the age of 21, Pat left England for Southern Rhodesia, Africa. She married Geoffrey Alan Atkinson, a military man, and together they had four children. Pat loved gardening, and her beautiful gardens were admired by neighbours and visitors alike. She also enjoyed reading and took great pride in her home.

She is survived by her four children, Deborah, Howard, Martin and Steven; her grandchildren, Ryan, Zane, Bradley, Kim, Iain, Jaimie, and Scott; her great grandchildren, Jack, Adam, Lily and Layla.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her family, her friends and all those who knew her. Her love of family, gardening and home will be remembered with great affection.
