Patricia A. ShepardPatricia A. Shepard, 68, of Delphi, passed away on October 24, 2017 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN. Patricia was born on Sept. 12, 1949 in Wayne County, Kentucky to the late Arnold and Lucille (Rust) Burris. She was a graduate of Delphi High School, and attended Ivy Tech and Purdue University, earning her nursing degree. She was a registered nurse.She had worked as Director of Nursing at Indiana Soldiers Home and Mulberry Healthcare, St. Elizabeth Hospital and Wesley Manor. She retired after 33 years.Her 2nd career was a teacher and she taught for Christian Heritage School in Frankfort, IN as a high school science teacher for 6 years.She married Terrance S. Shepard on Dec. 23, 1966 in Lafayette and he survives.Along with her husband, she is survived by her children: Curt Shepard (companion: Lisa Pickett) of Lafayette, Terry Lee Shepard (fiancée: Jo Wood) of Delphi and Lanette Mackey (companion: Jamie Olsen) of Muncie; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.Patricia enjoyed gardening, traveling and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.Visitation will be from noon until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi.
