With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Otis Smith, beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Otis was born on June 1, 1956 in Lawrenceburg Tennessee to parents Herman Smith and Virginia Ruth Smith.

He is survived by his two children, Crystal Dawn Alexander and Felicia McCall, grandchildren jasmine Murphy,Drew Murphy,Matthew Murphy Shambriana Alexander,Achantis Alexander,Niesha Alexander,Lamarcus Alexander,Kazadra McCall, 10 Great Grandchildren ,Nephew Curtis Kelley,Neice Virginia Lymon,Brother Samuel Smith,He was preceded in death by his Brothers Roy Smith,Frank Smith,Herman Smith,Joey Simpson,George Smith and one Sister Mary Kelley

Otis dedicated many years of his life to his work at the TN State Highway department, where he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the community.

Outside of work, Otis had a passion for music, playing drums, watching boxing, football. He enjoyed spending time with his family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

On January 29, 2026, Otis's unexpected passing left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those he touched.
