Koenig, OrenOren James Koenig, age 81 of Marshfield passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 surrounded by his family at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday December 30, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 604 S. Chestnut Ave, Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service Friday at the church.He was born on May 30, 1935 at Wausau Memorial Hospital to the late Clarence and Leola Koenig. He graduated in 1954 from Edgar High School. Oren served in the armed forces as an engineer equipment mechanic from January 1958 until honorable discharge in 1963. He spent much of his adult life dairy farming and later drove semi-truck delivering fuel to local gas stations.He enjoyed fishing in Canada and hunting out west and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Oren is survived by a son; Todd O. Koenig, beloved life partner; Jan Weichelt, grand-daughter; Kristie Oertel (Koenig), Great-Granddaughters; Abbygail and Autumm Oertel and siblings; Gloria (Rick) Rathke and Grant Koenig.Oren is preceded in death by his parents; Clarence and Leola Koenig, Sister in law; Caroline Koenig and daughter in law; Laura Koenig.
