Harlingen - Olettia (Geldhof) Reiss, 84, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2016 in Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. Olettia was born on October 1, 1932 in Okmulgee, OK. to Cecil Henry and Nona Estes. At 13, she moved from Oklahoma to Santa Rosa, TX with her Dad. Her proudest moment was her three children graduating from High School. She belonged to the Civil Air Patrol in Santa Rosa; climbing the tower and watching for stray airplanes. Olettia was owner/operator of the Grocery store in Santa Rosa, and later was the Manager for Emerald Grove Park; while Tony & Lydia were gone. She loved being the mail Lady for the last 20 years at Emerald Grove Park; 6 days a week-Rain or Shine. She loved search puzzle books, plants, helping others, dancing and to just laugh. She is survived by her children, Sharron Geldhof, Larry Geldhof, and Debra (Stewart) Mize; grandchildren, Stephen (Rita) Riojas, and Emily Mize; and great grandchild, Christina Riojas. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Pete Geldhof; and her second husband, Henry "Hank" Reiss. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 @ 10:00 am in Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
