Oclires L. Maestas, 85, a longtime resident of Buena Vista passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2016. She was born on Oct. 17, 1930 to Simon and Cecilia Medina. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Cecilia Medina and eldest son, Stephen Eloy Maestas.She is survived by her husband, Eloy Maestas; sons and daughter, Eddie Maestas of Denver, Lawrence Maestas of Buena Vista, Paul Maestas of Denver; Ernest Maestas, Carlos Maestas (Angel) and Shirley Romero, all of Buena Vista; ex-daughter-in- law, Esther Maestas of Las Vegas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 28 at St. Gertrude Church in Mora with Father Paul Grala S.O.L.T. as celebrant.
