Obdulia Cortes, 93, of Houston, Texas, passed on November 20, 2021. Obdulia was born on December 24, 1927 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Julian Cortes and Severiana Polanco.

She is survived by her sisters Reyna Cortes, Pura Cortes, Judy Cortes; her children Nelson Badillo and Noemi Kelley; her grandchildren Noelia Badillo, Joel Badillo, Gabriel Badillo, Jeannette Sorgie, Jeremy Andrews, Cassandra Blanchard; her great grandchildren D'Angelo Vielma, Alanis Yurdakul, Olivia Badillo, Anaily Badillo, Nevaeh Andrews, Nahiara Andrews, Mila Blanchard

Obdulia was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her faith was her anchor throughout life's challenges. She enjoyed being amongst nature and gardening. Most would say she had a green hand, not just a green thumb. She lived in the kitchen as she had a passion for cooking. Her life was her family. She always made people laugh with her unusual and risqué jokes.

She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Her legacy will forever live on in our hearts.
