Our beloved father, Norman V. Petersen, passed away peacefully at 90 years of age on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 in the care of his family at home in Petaluma, CA.
Norm was a longtime resident of Marin County and a dry wall contractor for 65 years. He was a lifetime, beloved member of the South End Rowing Club of San Francisco. His life was spent either on or in the water. Rowing and swimming were his passion and he practiced both until quite recently.
Predeceased by his wife, Beverly, in July of 2013; they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Norm was also predeceased by his beloved Grandson James Forni of Petaluma just this past June. James had a special place in his Grandfathers heart and we take comfort knowing that they are together now and looking out for all of us.

Norm is survived by his children, Jan (Jim) Forni of Petaluma, Jackie (Phil) Pope of Seattle, WA, and Norman Petersen, Jr. of Sacramento; grandchildren, Jillian (Pat) Fahy, Christopher Forni, Mary Forni, Rhonda Letho, Ishiah Benben, and Jessica Ware; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Norm also leaves a sister, Laurel Munafo Petersen.
