Norman C. CushingMANSFIELD: Norman C. Cushing, 59, of Mansfield, passed away from a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 23, 2017.Norman was born on October 8, 1957, in Mansfield, to Kenneth and Norma Jean (McCarrick) Cushing. He was employed for 38 years with the railroad. Norman was a member of Abundant Grace and enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and dirt track stock car racing. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved to watch the Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers. He also enjoyed coaching wrestling and baseball.Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janet (Kegley) Cushing; two children, Colby Cushing and Carli Cushing both of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Drayven McCormack and Ariah Rose McCormack; two siblings, Jim (Rita) Cushing of Mansfield and Becky (Jim) Perkins of Cortland; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Norman was preceded in death by his father; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Juanita Kegley; and many aunts and uncles.Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH.
