We are saddened to announce the passing of Norman Burks Jr., who was born on March 21, 1966, in Detroit Beach, Michigan, United States. He passed away on January 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Norman was the beloved son of Norman and Barbara Burks. He was a devoted father to his three children, Jahquan Swint, Hasid Burks, and Jahkia Burks.

Norman spent his career working at Ford, where he eventually retired in 2013. He also proudly served his country in the Army.

Outside of work, Norman had a passion for music. He could often be found playing his favorite tunes on his guitar or singing along to his favorite songs.

Norman will be remembered for his infectious smile, kind heart, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
