We mourn the loss of Nomencio Melendez, who was born on July 5, 1962, in McGregor, Texas, United States. He was the beloved son of Rudolph and Georgia Melendez.

Nomencio married his loving wife Venessa Melendez in 1981, and together they raised four children: Nomencio “Kiko” Melendez Jr, Diana Melendez Patrick, Monique Melendez Chapman, and Rosalia Melendez. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren.

Nomencio attended McGregor High School and graduated in 1980. He continued his education at San Angelo State University, where he graduated in 1984. After completing his studies, Nomencio dedicated his career to working at the Boys Club, where he served until his retirement in 2015.

He was an active member of the community and volunteered his time with the Jubilee of Waco organization. Nomencio was honored with the Community Outreach award for his dedication to helping others.

In his free time, Nomencio enjoyed fishing and barbecuing. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
