Nicholas (Nic) Gabriel Romero, was tragically taken from his family and friends on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the age of 32. 

Nic was born on October 4, 1986 in Sacramento, California. He was the third son of Laurie (Lee) Ross.

Nic grew up an adventurous child who never shied away from a challenge. He poured his heart into whatever project he was a part of and had a motto of living life “in this moment.” Nic’s huge heart, compassion and warm hugs landed him the nickname of “bear.” Through his legendary storytelling and his great sense of humor he brought laughter and light to anyone who crossed his path. 

On April 15, 2010, he welcomed his daughter, Jessa (J-Bear), who was the most important part of his life. They shared a love for movies, s’mores, adventures and cherished the time they had together. 

Nic is survived by his parents, James and Laurie Ross; his daughter, Jessa; his siblings, Daniel, David, James and Jennifer; and his grandmother, Vyondelle.

He was a loving father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and will be dearly missed. 

A funeral service will be held to honor Nic on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (8610 Scarborough Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80920). A viewing will proceed the service at 9:00am.
