Nettie Knutson1922 - 2014Nettie Knutson, 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at Aurora Medical Center.She was born on March 18, 1922, to the late Charles and Sarah (Bromley) Langworthy in Hamil, Minn. She was educated in the schools of Hamil.Nettie married the love of her life, Norman Knutson in 1940, in Bagley, Minn. They were married for 54 years, until Norman passed in 1994. They moved to Kenosha shortly after they were married.Nettie worked on and off for many years at different restaurants. She really enjoyed working at Georges. After starting a family she became a homemaker.For over 70 years, Nettie was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She also was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.Nettie enjoyed reading, sewing, and chats with her phone circle group with the Department of Aging. She also enjoyed the many activities at Trinity.Nettie is survived by her loving children, Darrel (Sandra Sandien) Knutson of Albuquerque, N.M., Carol (Patrick M.) Barribeau of Kenosha, Stanley (Amy) Knutson of San Francisco, Calif., Kristina Easter Knutson (Patrick Easter) of Lawrenceville, Ga. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nettie is also survived by her companion, Bonnie Hammer Schlag of Kenosha. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman; one daughter, Eva Fitzgerald; one son, Paul Knutson; two brothers and one sister.Funeral services for Nettie will be held on Friday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
