It is with my heavy heart that I announce the passing of Nettie Jean Bolden, a beloved grandmother, mother, great grandmother, and also Great Great- grandmother. Nettie was born on May 1, 1945, to Joe B May and Ruth R May (God rest their souls). Nettie peacefully departed from this world on Nov 1,2023 from her fight with Demetria at the age of 78.
Nettie was/is an extraordinary individual whose presence in the lives of those who knew her will always be cherished. She grew up in Mississippi after she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Gary Indiana. Where she grew up and established strong roots in the community. She helped her parents in their cleaning business to a city success alongside her siblings.
Throughout her life, Nethe showed remarkable resilience and unwavering determination. She worked hard and tirelessly to pursue her dreams and ambitions, making a name for herself in her ministry and NJ Originals of apparel and jewelry. She and her husband later moved to Ca then moved to Las Vegas, NV after retirement where they both resided until both passing.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Nettie had a heart of Gold. She was known for her kindness, compassion, unjudgmental, and selflessness, Nettie touched the lives of many through her extensive philanthropic endeavors. She consistently supported various charitable organizations and worked diligently to make positive impact on her family/friends and community.
Family meant the world to Nettie, she was/is a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great- grandmother. Her and her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandkids were the source of immense joy and pride.
Nettie's nurturing and caring nature is a legacy that will undoubtedly be carried on by the generations to come. Besides her professional and family life, Nettie had a multitude of interest and hobbies. She had an undeniable zest of life and embraced every opt unity for adventure.
She loved traveling to Vegas before she moved here to gamble and always wanted to get away and vacations. She had a peace of mind she did what she wanted when she wanted, she has lived a beautiful life for her.
She was so close with God she knew where she was going, and she helped some people get closer with God while she was here in body for. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were infections, leaving an indelible impression on all that knew her.
Nettie departure leaves and immense void in the lives of her family, and friends. She will be solely missed, but her memory will forever live on. Her legacy of resilience, generosity, and love will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known her in this lifetime.
Nettie Bolden had birthed three children, Johnetta Maxwell, Maxine Roche (Theodore W Roche Husband) one and only son Joe Louis McLaurin Jr (wife Yvonne McLaurin). Nettie also leaves behind a grieving family including grandchildren to celebrate and cherish her memory. Everett Mckinney, Shanae Mckinney, Alice Maxwell, Louis Maxwell, Christopher Tyler, Debra Lynn Roche, Natelie Roche, Theaux Roche, Jovan McLaurin, D' Handre McLaurin, and Brandon McLaurin. She also leaves some great grandkids and great great grandkids.
