Nancy M. PostFeb. 05, 1936 - Dec. 11, 2016SOUTH BEND - Nancy Margaret Post, 80, of South Bend, IN passed away at 8:04 a.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 5, 1936 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Ernest and Dorothy (Frepan) DeWachter. On October 19, 1957 in South Bend, IN, she was united in marriage to David J. Post who survives. Nancy is also survived by her daughter, Patti (Paul) Hyndman of Dallas, TX; son Michael (Sharon) Post of Brookfield, WI and four grandchildren, Sarah and Elaine Hyndman and Matthew and Christopher Post. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Al and George DeWachter. Nancy was a lifelong resident. She worked in accounting at Valley Screen Process, retiring in 1991 after fifteen years of service. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of WELCA Women's Club and the Altar Guild. She was a volunteer for the Historical Society, belong to a painting club where she took classes and was a seamstress. Nancy loved working with crafts and painting for her children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 225 Haney Avenue, South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at church.
