Jefferson passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Port Charlotte, FL.Nancy was born on February 19, 1937, the first child of Norman and Fannie Abbott of Georgetown.Nancy was a Registered Nurse at Beebe Hospital and active in the Eastern Star. Nancy had a talent for sewing and knitting. She enjoyed reading and taking care of her beloved animals, Bubba and Jim Kitty. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 36 years, Captain Ronald Jefferson; her first child, Debbie Rogers; and a grandson, Kirk Rogers.She is survived by three daughters, Heidi Johnson, Lisa Hershelman and Johnna Fairbee; two step-sons, Jeff Jefferson and Jay Jefferson; a sister, Joan Pittenger; a brother, Kenny Abbott; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.A Celebration of Life Service will take place in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 5 pm where friends may call for a time of visitation at 4 pm.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Tunnell Cancer Center, Suite 101, 18947 John J.
