LILLINGTON, N.C. — Nanci Barlow Boyette, 60, of Lillington, and formerly of Southern Pines and Hamlet, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015.

She was born on April 3, 1955 in Hamlet to the late David Barlow and Dora Hunter Boney.

Nanci worked as a dental assistant for the majority of her life. She was an extremely talented artist. Nanci put meaning to "Never met a stranger" and had a knack for making others laugh.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Barlow; mother, Dora Hunter Boney and her husband Benjamin; and one daughter, Kristen Barlow.

She is survived by two children, Ashleigh Boyette, Hunter Boyette and their father Gray Boyette; one sister, Ginny Ferguson and her husband Carl; two brothers, David Barlow III and Wesley Barlow and his wife Suzanne; and is also survived by her aunt, Jo Best.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Richmond Memorial Park Cemetery.
