Nadine Law Obituary

Sep 16, 1932 - Jan 27, 2015

This obituary is administered by:
Nadine Hardy LawSeptember 16, 1932 - November 27, 2015Nadine (Hardy) Law left this life on Friday, November 27th, 2015 in Spokane, Washington to be with her beloved husband, Whipol LyDell Law, and daughter, Tina Kay Buck, who both preceded her in death.Nadine was born on September 16, 1932 in Bunkerville, Nevada to her parents, Warren Decator Hardy and Naomi Palmer, and was second to the youngest in her large family. She often recalled fond memories of her childhood from those early years in Nevada. Her family moved to Meridian, Idaho when she was a teenager, which eventually led to her courtship with LyDell when they were both in high school. Nadine and LyDell married a year after graduation in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Except for a short time in Beaverton, Oregon, they made their home and raised their family in the Meridian, Idaho area.Nadine spent her life supporting her husband, children, and grandchildren in all of their church, work, school and extra-curricular activities. She did not sit still long and was always up and doing, whether it was work or play. She enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, and was an excellent cook. Favorite times with her family, extended family, and friends were waterskiing at the lake, camping in the mountains, and playing all kinds of games and sports. She had a great sense of humor, made friends easily, and was always an active participant in family activities. She loved to travel and took a number of trips to far off places. Nadine was devoted to her husband and children and also found room in her heart to bring foster children into her home over the years to help them also feel the love of family. After their children were raised, Nadine and LyDell moved for a time to Blackfoot, Idaho, but eventually came back and settled in Caldwell, Idaho. All of her life, Nadine was an active member of her church. She truly reflected her love of the Savior, Jesus Christ, through sacrifice, love, and service to others. She was always quick to bring meals to those in need, loved serving in the temple, and realized a life-long goal of serving a full-time mission in Missouri after her husband passed away. Later, Nadine spent some years living in Mesquite, Nevada and Spokane, Washington where she made many new friends and continued to touch the lives of others, including the wonderful professionals who helped provide her care over the last years of her life. Her heart, however, was always in Idaho, where she raised her family and where she desired to be placed to rest next to her husband.Nadine is survived by six of her seven children (and spouses) - Ken (Kris), Jackie (Jim Conrad), Doug (Carolyn), Karen (Bob Moriarty), Tacee (Jeff White), and Dan (Shannon). She also leaves 29 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.Funeral services will be held for Nadine on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8625 S. Linder Road, in Kuna, Idaho. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell, Idaho. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. 442-8171.
