Nadine DarrOAK HARBOR: Nadine Darr, 63, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 22, 1954 in Port Clinton, Ohio, the daughter of Marvin & Eleanor (Lafer) Humphrey.Nadine was a graduate of Mifflin High School in Columbus, Ohio, and received her teaching degree from Bowling Green State University.Later she received her Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Toledo. Nadine was a teacher for over 30 years in the area. She taught at Immaculate Conception School, St. Boniface School, and the North Point Education Service Center.Nadine married Dennis Darr on June 15, 1974, and he survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Carrie (Jason) Sidell of Helena, Ohio and Francine (Eric) Hensen of Petersburg, Michigan. Her three grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life, James Sidell, Blake and Brooklyn Hensen. She is also survived by her brothers, David (Susan) Boss, Dale Humphrey, and Donald Humphrey. Several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews survive her as well.Nadine was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 22, 2017 by the Rev. Timothy F. Ferris. Interment will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Friday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Friday. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday.Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the church.
