Mrs. Lavergne, age 56, was born in Lafayette, Indiana, and had been a resident of Rayne for the past 10 years. She was self-employed.

Survivors include her husband John Blake Lavergne, one brother Vincent Matthews (Kelly) from Geigertown, PA, and her father Virgil Matthews from Lafayette, Indiana. Survivors on her husband's side that she dearly loved are her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, James Lavergne and his wife Connie, Renee Hooper who was a sister-in-law and her husband Johnny Hopper, another sister-in-law Vickie Nicholas, and a loving mother-in-law Verna Verret.

Niece and nephews to Ann on her husband's side are Rachelle Harris, Travis Nicholas, Patrick Prejean, Jennifer Prejean, Katrina Lavergne, Gabrielle Huffman, Bennie Hooper, Danny Ray, and Hailey Hooper. Rhonda Comeaux held a special place as not only her cousin but a best friend.

Ann is preceded in death by her mother Elaine Kay Matthews, nephews Ray Paul Lavergne and Chad Lavergne, her father-in-law, Don Verret.

Celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, 2pm at the home of Mrs. Vickie Nichols 104 Shell Lane Lot A Scott, LA 70583.
