Myrtle B. GroesbeckJune 8, 1923 - May 13, 2013Downey...Myrtle B. Groesbeck passed away on Monday May 13, 2013 in Fremont, California. Myrtle was born on June 8, 1923 in Downey, Idaho. She lived in Fremont, California with her family for the past 53 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her four children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.Her nursing degree took her overseas during WWII. She works as a public health nurse in the Fremont School District until she retired in 1989.She enjoyed dancing, holding babies, spending time with her family and always looked for ways to help others.She joined her eternal companion, Byron Groesbeck, Monday May 13, 2013. She will be missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Downey LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:30a.m.-12:45 p.m.at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Downey City Cemetery.
