Ms. Margie Mallory-Fowler, 73, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed on March 10, 2023. Ms. Margie was born on January 03, 1935 935 in Westfield, Alabama. She was the 5th child born to the union of Maybelle Fomby Mallory and Cobie Mallory. She is preceded in death by both parents,
Husband, Mr. John Fowler, her eldest son Michael Mallory and five siblings: Warren Mallory, Ted Mallory Jr., Larry Nathaniel Mallory, Ruth Mae Harold and Beatrice James. Margie attended the local elementary school and received her formal education from Westfield High School where she graduated in the Class of 1953.
Shortly thereafter in 1955, Margie and her family moved to Mil-waukee, Wisconsin where she joined union with John W. Fowl-er. Margie was employed with Milwaukee Public School Systems as a Crossing Guard. Later, she worked as a Supervisor for Gibb Building Maintenance and Clean Power until her retirement in
2008. During retirement Margie dedicated the majority of her time travelling to visit her children, attending family reunions and vacationing.
Margie's passion was playing softball. As a group, Margie, her sister-Willadean Mallory and good friends Geneva Wade, Joanne Walker, Lula Williams and others formed "The Untouchables" softball team.
Margie's greatest loves were for her family and her faith in The Lord. As a long-standing member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, she served as the Head of the Nurses Auxiliary and worked with the Pastors Aide committee. She was a devoted mother to her children and taught the importance of hard-work, education and self-sufficiency. Margie was an excellent cook and notoriously known for her special "Home Brew" recipe, which still remains a family secret to this date. In addition to her love for her children, Margie fostered friendships with her children's friends.
Known to them as "Mom Mal" It was not unusual for friends to call or stop by to converse or seek her opinion on various matters She was regarded for her direct opin-ions, speaking her mind and being a joyful person. Margie enjoyed the remaining years of her life living with her daughter Karen and son-in-law Micheal McGee in Or-lando, Florida.
On Friday, March 10th, 2023, Margie Lois Mallory-Fowler peacefully departed this life to receive the promises of our Lord and Savior. She leaves behind to cherish her memory and mourn her loss: siblings: Ivory Earl Mallory, Harold Clyde Mallory, Leslie Mallory, and sister Willadean Mallory, her children: Ronald Earl Mallory, Karen Mallory-McGee (Micheal), Lamar Eugene Mallo-ry, Debbie Lynn Mallory-Mattox (Benjamin), Saundra D. Fowler, Keneith Marvick Fowler, and John Wesley Fowler, Jr., and the extended Fowler family, Grand-children: Nikilya Mallory, Brandon Mallory, Stephanie Mallory, Courtney Fowler, Ryan Webb-Mal-lory, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
