Home going celebration for Ms. Edna J. Anderson of Tallahassee, Florida who passed on June 18, 2023 will be held on Saturday June 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 615 Tuskegee St., Tallahassee, Florida 32305 with Dr. Benjamin Curry, Officiating. Interment will follow at Old City Cemetary, 400 W Park Ave, Tallahassee, Florida 32301.

   Mrs. Edna James Anderson was the daughter of Annie Bell Anderson and Tom Anderson. She was born on May 4, 1943 in Eufaula, Alabama. Ms. Anderson moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 1955. She attended Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.

   Ms. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Bell Anderson, Tom Anderson and son, Alvin Barnes.

   Ms. Edna James Anderson leaves to cherish memories of her with 3 daughters, Angela Scott and husband David, Lynette and Wynette Barnes all of Tampa, Florida; son, Julius Anderson; 24 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mary James Anderson; 1 brother, Clinton Carswell; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; her close and dear friends, Jenny Moore, Mrs. Ann and other relatives and friends.

   There will be a viewing on Friday June 23, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
