It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. LeRoy James, who was born on February 28, 1944, in Savannah, Georgia, United States. He passed away on July 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. James was the beloved son of Major Simmons and Agnes James. He was the devoted husband of Gladys Y. James, whom he married in 1967. Together, they raised seven wonderful children - Bridget Noel, Patrick James with spouse Carol James, Leroy A. James, Tawnia James, Demetrius James, Bernard James, and LeVar James. He was also a doting grandfather to ten grandchildren.

Mr. James attended Beach High School and graduated in 1962. He went on to work at the International Longshoreman Association, Local 1414, where he dedicated many years of hard work before retiring in 2011.

Throughout his life, Mr. James enjoyed many hobbies including reading his Bible, watching Westerns, fishing, hunting, and working in his yard. He was a man of many talents and passions, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Mr. LeRoy James will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His kind heart and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
