Monica Ja'vae Lyons-Jackson, 32, passed on October 15, 2022. She was born to Michael Lyons and Kendra Stewart in Columbia, South Carolina on January 12, 1990, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. She was the first child born and accepted Christ at an early age. In 2008, Monica graduated from Richland Northeast High School and received a degree from the University of South Carolina in 2012. She worked at Lexington Medical Center and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, bowling, shopping, and giving advice when needed. She married Derrick Jackson in 2016 and they lived together in Columbia, South Carolina. Together they raised 1 child Ma'Lani Dior Jackson. She will be missed by all who knew her. Monica leaves to cherish her memory of a loving daughter, brother David Lyons, sisters, India and Desiree, many nieces and nephews, and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
