We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Modestine Barnes, who was born on December 21, 1969, and passed away on December 24, 2024, in Jasper, Texas, United States. Modestine is survived by their father Woodrow and mother Betty, as well as their two beloved children, Daylon Barnes and Marissa Barnes.

Modestine attended Newton High School and was known for their love of fishing. They were a dedicated parent and grandparent, always putting their family first. Modestine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved them.
