Miyah Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, and all-around fabulous lady, passed away on November 17, 2024 in her hometown of Columbia, South Carolina.

Miyah was born on March 13, 1985, and spent her younger years studying at Dreher High School. She graduated in 2003 and went on to pursue higher education at the University of South Carolina. She was blessed with a lovely daughter, Taniah Johnson, in a union with Tyreke Smith. Despite her busy schedule, Miyah always made time for her children, as well as her grandchild, Tamari Dowdy, who brought so much joy and laughter into her life.

Miyah was known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and love for a good bargain. She could always be found scouring the sales racks for the best deals, much to the chagrin of her family members who were often embarrassed by her bargain-hunting antics. But Miyah never shied away from being herself, and her quirky charm endeared her to all who knew her. She also had a serious side, which was shown in the way she cared for her child and grandchild, not letting anybody interrupt the time she spent with them.

Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved her, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. As we say goodbye to Miyah, we remember her with fondness and laughter, knowing that she brought so much joy to those around her.

Rest in peace, Miyah. Your infectious personality and loving spirit will be dearly missed.
