Miriam M. McGinleyActive at William's Church, Tewksbury; 83 TEWKSBURY -- Mrs. Miriam (Moakley) M. McGinley, 83, passed away Wednesday, December 7th, at Lowell General Hospital.A loving wife, mother, grandmother, Miriam was born on January 22, 1933 in Lexington, MA, a daughter to the late Robert and Mary (Peake) Moakley. Loving wife of 49 years to the late Charles D. McGinley whom she lost in 2003.Miriam spent her early years in the town of Lexington later moving to Billerica where she graduated from Howe High School.She married her husband, Charles in 1953 helping to raise their six children and later sharing time with her 15 grandchildren.She worked for many years as an administrator at the Lincoln Labs in Lexington. Miriam was an active and devoted parishioner at St. William's Church in Tewksbury participating in many church events and organizations.She is survived by her two sons, Thomas J. McGinley, Charles D. McGinley Jr.; four daughters, Margaret "Peggy" Speranza and her husband, Dana, Mary E. Collaro, Ann M. Kolek and her husband, Brian, Barbara McGinley; she leaves three brothers, Robert Moakley and his wife, Rita, James Moakley and Frederick Moakley; a sister, Mary Jane Morgan and her husband, Donald; and 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Miriam was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, James J. Her Funeral will begin Tuesday, December 13th at 9:00 am from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury.
