ANGOLA — Mildred Pauline Ritenour, age 94, of Angola and formerly of Etna Green, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 20, 2016, at Lakeland Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Angola. Mildred was born on December 27, 1921, to Ira and Edna (Sult) Bickel. She graduated from LaPaz High School in 1939. She married Russell R. Ritenour on November 23, 1939. Mildred was a homemaker and helped Russell on the farm. Russell passed away on May 24, 2007. Mildred is survived by her son, Robert (Johanna) Ritenour of Angola, Indiana. Mildred was blessed with several grandchildren, Robert Ritenour Jr., John C. Ritenour, Susan K. Ritenour, Laura Ritenour Stephens, Tami Escapule (Arley), Jeff Ritenour (Shelly), Denise May (Carl), Pete Poe, and Lisa Nifong (Mark), and Candy Witt (Gary) She is also survived by numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dennis M. Ritenour; and several siblings. Funeral services will be held in her honor on Saturday, October 8, at noon at the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, Indiana. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bourbon, Indiana.
