Mildred "Millie" Catley December 11, 1927 - November 11, 2016 Myrtle Beach Mildred "Millie" Catley, 88, wife of the late Harold E. Catley, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 11, 2016 surrounded by her family. Millie was born on December 11, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late J.J. McDonald and Mary Ellen McDonald. She was preceded in death by four siblings. Millie and Harold retired to Myrtle Beach in 1981. She loved to walk the beach, bowl, and do charity work for her church. She is survived by her children: Dan (Karen) of Maidens, VA, Debbie of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Dennis (Diane) of Blacksburg, VA. Her grandchildren are: Gwen (Taka) of Tokyo, Japan, Daniel (Kim) of Richmond, VA, Jessica of Roanoke, VA, and Bryan of Blacksburg, VA, and her precious little great-grandson, Nathan of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by several dear nieces. The family would like to thank Gentiva Home Health, Embrace Hospice, and Annie Gore for the great care and support of Millie these past few months. A memorial service for Millie will be held at St. Philip Lutheran Church, 6200 N. Kings Hwy. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 3:00 PM. Pastor Jason Lee will officiate. Millie will be inurned next to her husband in The St. Philip Lutheran Church Columbarium. The family will greet friends after the service.
