It is with heavy hearts that we We never imagined we would have to write something like this for our daughter.
Mila Rose was only 17. She was our daughter, our baby, and the light of our family. Losing her is something we are still trying to understand.
Mila started writing songs when she was just 11 years old. She would sit in her room for hours with notebooks, writing lyrics and little pieces of her thoughts. Sometimes she shared them with us, and sometimes she kept them to herself. Writing was always something that helped her express what she felt.
She didn’t start singing in front of people until she was 15. At first she was nervous and shy about it, but once she started, we could see how much it meant to her. Music was a big part of who she was, and she worked so hard at it.
But to us, Mila wasn’t just someone who loved music. She was the girl who laughed loudly, stayed up too late writing, and always had something creative on her mind. She had so much life in her and so many dreams for the future.
Our hearts are broken in a way that’s hard to explain. The house feels quieter now without her.
We are so proud to be her parents, and we will carry her memory with us every day of our lives. We love you, Mila, and we always will.
