BESSEMER CITY - Michael Patrick McDonald, 58, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Robin Johnson House.He was born on March 17, 1958, in Gaston County to the late Bobby M. McDonald Sr. and Frances Wesson McDonald.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mignon McDonald, Angela McDonald Hoyle and Laura Ann McDonald.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Teresa Rhyne McDonald; son, Eric McDonald; brother, Bobby McDonald Jr. and wife Susie; brother-in-law, Alan Hoyle; nephew, Andy McDonald and wife Jennifer; niece, Allison Hoyle; great-nephew, Landon Hoyle; great-nieces, Sage Mignon McDonald, Emory Hoyle and Kayleigh Hoyle.Mike was a 1977 graduate of Bessemer City High School. He started working at age 12 at the McDonald's Family-owned Restaurant where he had 46 continuous years of employment at one place. Mike also worked at CaroMont Regional Medical Center for 6 months in food service. The family was also interviewed and featured in a Carolina Camera TV Restaurant Special on Sept. 16, 2011, about their regionally famous restaurant. Mike wrote a legacy letter on Sept. 7, 2016, about his visit with God which touched many lives.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 9, 2016, at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with the Rev.
