Mike Antonio Vigil, 73, of Kemp, Texas passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 surrounded by loved ones at his home after a short illness of lung cancer. He was born on Feb. 21, 1941 to Anna Apodaca and Mike Vigil. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna Apodaca and Mike Vigil; nephew, Leroy Vigil and niece, Annie Vigil, all of Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife, Colleen D. Vigil of Kemp, Texas; son, Christopher Vigil and wife, Heather of Garland, Texas; son, Anthony Vigil of Dallas; granddaughter, Brittney Vigil of Dallas; brother, Joseph Vigil and wife, Virginia Vigil of Las Vegas; sister, Margaret Mecias of Denver; nephews, Bobby Payne of Kemp, Texas, Joseph Vigil and wife, Joanne Vigil of Kemp, Texas; nieces, Patricia Vigil and husband, John Vigil, Veronica Vigil and companion, Antonio Esquibel; great-nephews, Victor Vigil, Manuel Vigil, Marcos Trujillo, Antonio Trujillo, and Miguel Trujillo, all of Las Vegas.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman, Texas.
