Migdalia Cortijo, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 13, 2024, in Tampa, Florida, United States. She was born on April 29, 1965, to Fernando Rivera and Amparo Colon.

Migdalia is survived by her three children, Vanessa Katariko (spouse Kambale Katariko), Kristina Price (spouse Bennie Price), and Bianca Cortijo. Brother David Colon (spouse Jenna McKenna), Sister Nancy Renovales. She was also a loving grandmother to six grandchildren ( Elycia Platel, Ny-Aela Price, Zaniyah Price, Kayleenda Price, Axel Pierre and Amina Katariko).

She studied at Jefferson High School and graduated with a passion for learning. Migdalia enjoyed hobbies such as crochet, spending countless hours creating beautiful and intricate pieces. Her creativity and attention to detail were evident in everything she made.

Migdalia will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
