In Loving Memory

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, A time to die, A time to plant and A time to pluck up which is planted. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2.

Michael Nathaniel Morten, affectionally known as ā€œLil Mikeā€, son of the late Harrison and Elizabeth Morten, was born on September 12, 1954, in Odenton, Maryland. Michael departed this earthly life on March 31, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Michael was educated in the Baltimore City School System.

Working alongside his father, Harrison, in the family business, Michael developed a love for music. He was a part of the group Fabulous Friends which sang throughout Baltimore City. The Fabulous Friends was known for singing hits from various artists such as: The Temptations, The Whispers, The Four Tops and many more.

Michael loved baseball. As a young man he played the game. In his older years, he loved to watch the Baltimore Orioles and as soon as opening day came, Michael was always ready.

Michael entered Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital in 2018. He became well known as ā€œBig Mikeā€ by the residents and staff members. During his stay, he became very close to one resident in particular, William Lockett. One of his greatest joys during his stay, was visiting the fish in Household 3.

Michael was known for his voice and his jokes. He was always messing with someone, making everyone laugh. A heart of Gold and a joyful smile God Blessed the world with Michael. He would do anything for anyone. He was dedicated, hardworking, a great provider, a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend.Ā Michael was loved by everyone. Michael was truly a blessing to everyone he met.

Michaelā€™s strength and his ā€œnever give-upā€ attitude inspired everyone he came in contact with.
