Michael David Jones, 51, passed away on December 23, 2016. He was born on June 2, 1965 in El Paso, Texas. Michael graduated from Irvin High School in 1982. He lived with his parents, Ret. SFC Cephas B. Jones and Marian J. Jones until their passing in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Michael was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, where he participated in both the chancel choir and hand bell choir for many years. He was a loving brother and uncle. He will be remembered as a sweet and gentle person. Michael will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sisters, Marsha Watley and Jacqueline Long, brothers-in-law, Washington Watley Jr., and Tony Long, and nieces Samantha Watley and Rachel Watley. A Gathering of Remembrance will be at 12:00PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church, 3500 Pershing. Committal Service will be at 2:30PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
