Michael James CortezDes MoinesMike Cortez was born on June 23rd, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa. He died on November 10, 2016. Mike graduated from Moline High in Moline, IL. He entered the Military right after high school and also served in the National Guard for 10 years, but because of Muscular Dystrophy he was forced to retire. He is survived by his mother, Roberta Cortez Vallejo; step-father, Mike Williams; Tia Linda; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
