Michael C. Penn was born on January 11, 1956, to the late deacon James and Rev. Ora Lee Penn in Mobile, AL.

Michael had an infectious love that others immediately admired due to his smile and true sincerity toward everyone he came in contact with. Michael served in the Military from 1973 to 1983.

Michael had an immense love for the entire family. He was most definitely the family comedian; he was gifted with a sense of humor that kept us all smiling and laughing through any situation.  

Mike never met any stranger that he couldn't strike up a conversation with that didn’t end in a Smile or laugh. Michael departed this life February 8, 2024. He was preceded in death by his brother Sterling E. Penn, James W. Penn Sr., Rev. Ora Lee Coleman-Penn.

 He leaves to cherish his memories to his Wife Sandra Penn, his son Tavarish Penn, his daughter Zakiyyah Penn, his brother James W. Penn Jr. (Trena), Nephews Anthony Penn, Jason Gaynor-Penn (Aliyah), Sterling Penn Jr. along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, friends and many God siblings.
