Michael Dawayne ArtripROLLA: Michael Dawayne Artrip, 38, of Rolla, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at his residence.Michael was born on October 1, 1978, in Shelby, Ohio, a son to Raymond (Christy)Thompson and Ty Ann Artrip, who survive in Mansfield, Ohio.On September 6, 2014, in Rolla, he was united in marriage to Laura Jean (Tennyson) Artrip.Michal was a member of the Phelps County Fair Board. He loved gardening, fishing but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He had such a huge heart and would be the first willing to help anyone out. He was a jack of all trades kind of a person, you name it he could put his mind to it and accomplish it. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents and spouse of two years, Michael is survived by: a son, Aaron Artrip; sister, Kristina (Matt) Lyons; brother, Chris Thompson all of Mansfield, Ohio; special family members, Debbie (Joe) Griffith of Salem and Steve (Leslie) Kaffer of Rolla; special aunt and uncle, Ella "Jeanie" Artrip and Gene Stafford both of Salem; special cousins, Eddie Artrip and Dustin Stafford both of Salem; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Susan Tennyson of Rolla along with many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Phelps County Fairgrounds Building #4.In Lieu of Flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Phelps County Regional Fair.Arrangements are under the direction of Rolla Cremation and Memorial (573-341-0220) www.rollacremation.com
