Our beloved Michael Benjamin Peterson passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the age of 31 years old. In Lansing, MI. Michael was born February 19, 1993, he was the son of Billie Jo Peterson.

To know Michael was to love Michael, he truly was a loving, caring, and beautiful soul throughout his life, he had the most beautiful eyes and smile. Michael loved and adored his two daughters and family very much. He will be greatly missed and always cherished by his family and many friends who loved him dearly.

Michael leaves behind his wife Jenelle Cochran; two daughters Billie Jo Peterson and Izabella Maria Reyes; siblings Joseph Houser, Autumn Houser, and Timothy (Gabriela) Houser; his aunt and uncle who helped raise him, Tomas and Kimberly Riojas, uncle Johnny (Robin) Murray, uncle Richard Lewis, aunt Tina Murray, and Uncle William Peterson; many cousins Nadia Riojas, Jason Murray, Lydia (Derek) Long, Angelita (Raymond) Villegas, Justin Murray, Maria (Brett) Miller, Kellie (Hector) Figueroa, TJ Guijosa, Ana (Seth) Baker, Hermosa Murray, Ellie Guijosa, Brodrick (Ashley) Wheat, Angel Peterson, Heaven Peterson, Hollie Ann Voelker, Nana Peterson, and Nano Peterson, Chelsey (Eduardo) Serna, Tommy Riojas, Nino (Sofia) Lira, Michael Lira, Elyssa Riojas, Kayleigh (Cody) Arens, Ellory Riojas, and Nina Murray.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving mother Billie Jo Peterson; older brothers Brandon Peterson and DeQuincy Peterson; grandmother Mary Lou Peterson; uncle Martin Murray; aunt Judith Lewis; and little cousin William Peterson. Michael also lost the mother of his daughter who he held close to his heart Machaela Jackson.

The family would like to thank everyone for your kind expressions of sympathy during this most difficult time. 

The funeral will be held at Skinner funeral home, on November 2nd at 11 AM.
