Melissa Ann GroatCapacMelissa Ann Groat, 45, of Capac, passed away on December 21, 2016 in McLaren Port Huron Hospital.She was born on October 11, 1971 in Port Huron, daughter of the late James and Diana Groat.Melissa enjoyed making jewelry, playing bingo and Shakespeare. She also loved her nephews and dogs.She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Holly (Kirt) Hellmuth of Capac; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne (Michelle) Groat of Port Huron; three nephews: Tyler, Jordan and Rogelio "Roy" and two nieces: Taylor and Shayla; her uncle, Charles Brooks and several counsins.A Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron. Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.
